Desert Oasis II Apartments is a 43-unit property located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 43-unit property is dedicated to seniors 55 years and older earning 50% or 30% of the area median income. This property was made possible with support from Volunteers of America, National Affordable Housing Trust, and RMCRC. The project seeks to provide seniors with a welcoming, fun, and community-focused living environment. Desert Oasis II Apartments provides 43 units of permanent housing, all for low-income senior households. This property is phase 2 of a greater another project that provides another 75 units of affordable housing for seniors. The amenities and services provided to residents include Meal-on-Wheels access, transportation to doctors offices, complimentary doctors visits on-site, community events, and more. This allows seniors, who are typically on a fixed income, to be part of a community and have access to many quality of life services that become more difficult to manage later in life.
